How a custom cursor works in Chrome
Chrome cannot change the mouse cursor on its own, but web pages can: a page may ask the browser to show any small image as the cursor, which is how a game or a design tool gets its own pointer. A cursor extension uses exactly that. Cursor Style adds the cursor and the hand pointer you chose to every page you open, so the result is the same on YouTube, Google Docs, Roblox and your school portal.
Because this happens inside Chrome, nothing on the computer changes: the desktop cursor stays as it is, no administrator rights are needed, and the same cursor works on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Turn the extension off and the default cursor is back instantly.

How to change the cursor in Chrome

Open the Chrome Web Store page of Cursor Style and press Add to Chrome. It is free.

Come back here, open a collection or search for a character, and pick a cursor.

Press Apply. The cursor changes on every tab. The extension icon lets you switch cursors, change the size and turn on an effect.
Where the settings are
Click the Cursor Style icon next to the address bar (pin it from the puzzle-piece menu so it stays visible). The popup shows the current cursor, a size slider, your recently used cursors and the list of effects. The On/Off switch at the top disables everything on all pages without removing the extension.
Signed-in users get a personal collection: any cursor you add from the site is kept there and can be applied from the popup without opening the website again. You can also upload your own cursor and pointer images.
Also works in Edge, Brave and Opera
Every browser built on Chromium can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store, so Cursor Style works the same way in Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi. On a Chromebook it is the only way to get a custom cursor, since ChromeOS has no cursor setting of its own.
